Pain or Prevention? Your Choice!

Pain-or-Prevention-Your-Choice.jpg

Here I go again, using the car analogy, but it’s something that everyone can understand.Without getting a wheel alignment or even straightening the chassis, the tires on your car will constantly wear quicker. So which would you rather do, continue spending money on new tires or have your car aligned on a regular basis? Most of you probably have routine maintenance performed on your cars, because, after all, cars are valuable – they are expensive and let’s face it, they are necessity in today’s world. If you never get the tires on your car rotated and balanced or your car is out of alignment, then the vehicle doesn’t drive or ride right. You know something is wrong. The same thing happens to your body, when your body is out of alignment, you experience aches and pains in many areas of your body. Your knees are probably giving you trouble as are your low back, your hips, etc. Isn’t your body as valuable as your car?!It pays, in more way than one, to perform routine maintenance on your body. You sit at a computer eight-plus hours a day or you are on your feet for work, then you do yard work on the weekends or work inside the house lifting and bending as you paint or clean. You spend time in your car driving to vacations or driving back and forth to work. You sit on the couch to watch television, etc. That is a lot of “mileage” you are putting on your frame (standing, sitting, bending, etc.). Imagine putting that mileage on your car and never taking it the garage for preventive maintenance. It’s probably not going to last as long as you want it to.Therefore, it’s smart to perform routine maintenance on your body – have it aligned on a regular basis!
